The College of Brymstone is a recognized Arizona State University (ASU) Student Organization as well as a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an international educational organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th century Europe. Brymstone is located on the Poly-Technic campus of ASU. Student meetings are held every Friday, 6-8pm, while school is in session, in the Private Dining Room in the Citrus Dining Hall. Activities include learning medieval Arts and Sciences including illumination and calligraphy, needlework, weaving, blacksmithing, metal work, and alchemy, fighting and rapier techniques, archery, creating period clothing, learning courtesy and graces common to the period, and much more. The College of Brymstone hosts multiple events like Chocolate Revel and the Spring Event (the theme varies from year to year) which are opportunities to raise funds for the club and explore the fun of hosting people from all over the Kingdom at ASU.
Brymstone is affiliated with the Barony of Twin Moons (Phoenix Metro area) in the Kingdom of Atenveldt. Twin Moons holds weekly meetings at Fighter Practice at 7:30 pm every Thursday night at Gene Autry Park in Mesa. Court and Quartermoon tournaments are held on the last Thursday of each month. It is also a great opportunity to meet Baron Alystyr and Baroness Greta, our many Knights, Dukes and Duchesses, Counts and Countesses, and Lords and Ladies. We all started at the beginning and welcome newcomers to join us. You are the next generation of Knights, Laurels, Pelicans, Kings, and Queens. Please come enjoy time with us.
